I will be pursuing an MA in Educational Administration with specific concentration in Student Affairs. There are a ton of positives with this, like having my MA by 25, getting room and board and tuition paid for, and getting my degree from an awesome university. The negatives, however, are that I wont have nearly as much money anymore (broke college kid again) and the Monroe/Moses live-in connection will no longer be a reality....:(. This date also marks the first official beat-down he has given another human being. Entitled "The Rage", this event brought 25 boughts between fighters of different diciplines (mainly the bar-fighting, throw-as-many-punches-badly-as-you-can style). However, Ethan is of a different breed, honing stand-up skills in Muay Thai kickboxing and various submission and ground skills. After 2 chicken-sh#$s refused to fight this pretty-boy powerhouse, Ethan's test came in the form of 6' 195lb Nate Brown in all his tatooed and tanned brillance. One look at the kid, and you start to wonder just how prepared you are, especially when you can't help to think this guy has the powers above on his side (just check out the Jesus Christ tatoo on his calf...yikes). None of this mattered, however, as Ethan reigned victorious in just about a minute's time. The crowd, amazed at the power of this clean-cut Darkhorse from Columbus, soon realized the potential in this one man. And damnit if his older brother wasnt here in California, relying only upon a cell phone and digital pictures to relay the excitement of the event. Luckily, two video's were takin, one of which can now be viewed on Ethanville.tk. Check the out the video, pictures, and a breakdown of Ethan's training and the fight here. Even to the inexperienced eye of the normal viewer, it is evident that Ethan kicked this dude's a$$ (granted, we'll give Nate a complement on a vicious opening takedown, but he very quickly lost that edge). Ah, an older brother couldn't be more proud than to watch his sibling beat the piss out of someone else. Muahahhahahahahahhah!
Look out world, there could be more....

Journalism 3020 class...What Up!!!

Hey everybody. However, it also supplies the resources for starters in HTML to learn the language without having to purchase domain space. Have you seen Kill Bill?!?!?!

Ok, I am gonna keep this short and make one of the most sure comments I have ever made...Kill Bill is the greatest movie to date! After the first 4 minutes of the movie, I was already saying, "Are you kidding me?!?!" Terintino is a freaking genious! I'm not even going to go into specifics, I'm just going to make a list of the 10 coolest things in the movie....

10.) The fountain of blood emitted once limbs are severed clean
9.) Lucy Liu....holy crap!
8.) Chic surviving gunshot to the head, after getting her a$$ beat, going in a coma for 4 years, then waking up with the need to kick a$$.
7.) Knife fight in the living room, then stopping for coffee with your rival
6.) Crazy 17-year old female Japanese body guard who likes heavy balls
5.) I thought that all the steriods in MLB were causing the gargantuan home-runs of the previous few years. Based on the first full week of the season, I'm starting to wonder if the hitters just havent gotten smarter and naturally stronger with better workout routines. They all can affored personal trainers, and I think a lot of them are investing time and money into strength and conditioning...much more than even 10 years ago.

But, in all honestly, do steroids even matter that much? There are many things that go on with the human body during the hitting process. The massive biceps and chests that these guys have may add some power, but 99% of hitting is the eye-hand coordination of these atheletes. 23" forearms dont mean crap if you can catch up to a 96 MPH Kyle Farnsworth fastball. Look at A-rod and Nomar and Shawn Green; these guys are not behemonths. But, they train hard, have excellent batspeed, and have great pitch vision. People want to talk about the 500' shots that the Jose Conseco's and Mark McGuire's hit, but in the score book they are no different that the 375' line drive shot that barely clears the fence. A homerun is a homerun. If these guys want their nutz to shrink, that's their business. But if you want to hit better, check out a vision trainer like Ken Caminetti, Brett Boone, and Chipper Jones did. Hell, if you want a great example...Ken Griffey Jr. Wanna know why he gets hurt? His off-season training regiment didnt really leave much to be desired. He isn't exactly your hulking DH body type either, but the dude was hitting 40 bombs a year when he was healthly....why? Bat-speed, Bat-speed, Bat-speed. If you bat is traveling 100 MpH, and you hit a 90 MpH fastball, good things will happen. The physics of baseball are really quite easy. Increased batspeed + baseball = Increased distance. Look at bunting. Even if you stick your bat out and just let the 90 MpH fastball hit it, the ball is still going to go quite a few feet in front of you. Now, taking a full swing, see what happens. Its not hard people.

So, do steriods suck....yes. You're a pansy for taking them. Do they really matter in baseball? Not really, but most think they do. Would I take them if my $15 Million/year contract was riding on it?....well, probably, but I dont really have to worry about that now, do I.

Its Friday...
Well, its Friday again. What to do, what to do. Its been pretty slow at work today, but was enjoyable having everyone give their input on last nights festivities in the world of the Aprentice. Why is it that I always make fun of those shows, and then abrubtly get sucked right into them with everyone else. Case in point...the Average Joe and Average Joe 2. Man, if I didnt have a girlfriend, I'd just be content in plaing every Final Fantasy game 4 times over. But no...I gotta get sucked into Joe Millionaire, Tempation Island, and the Bachelorette. Geez, I feel like all of our lives are turning into their own reality shows.
Thats all for today....I'll be bored next week during CSU's spring break, so I'll write later.

Peace.

Taking the Original "Dawn" to the Next Level
Movie Review Posting I did for "Dawn of the Dead" on Yahoo!

George Romero, we all love you. However, we understand the inadequicies of special effects in the 70's. The original Dawn of the Dead was groundbreaking for the insteresting combination of strange elevator music, freaky flesh-eaters, and obvious cracks at this country's over-dependence on commercialism. Since viewing the original, and subsequently every zombie movie since, I have always wanted a remake of Dawn of the Dead.....and we got it.

I think I can sum up my entire experience with this movie in one phrase..."Holy Crap!" I was almost expecting to leave the theater unimpressed by some up-and-coming director's horrific attempt to destroy a classic. I was overjoyed, however, to leave the screen still pumped with adrenaline and a huge smile across my face.

Ok, so this is no Oscar-winning flick, but one that avid fans of a good plot, tons of gore, and a few rather commeical scenes can get a lot of fun out of. As far as visuals, I cant remember a movie that so perfectly displayed the skull explosions of the walking dead after being smoked by a 6 ton cargo truck. To say that the blood & gore effects were not drasticly improved upon the original is a horendous understatement. Every scene was action packed, if not briming with suspense. The actors weren't stupid as in most horror flicks, and this goes triple for the women in this one (well, except for the little chainsaw incident....but that was an accident). No stupid morons running up the stairs to get away from the killer dead, cornering themselves in an inevitable death trap. The only stupid people in this one are the ones that deserved to die anyway...

And lets not forget the funnier parts of the movie. There are very few films that can portray such a survival horror experience, and then throw in the quick one-hitter to have the audience rolling. The effectiveness of this tactic in the movie places the audience on a continual teeter-totter of an adrenaline rush. One second, they are laughing at the "Which Celebrity Look-alike you gonna cap next"; the next they are battling the hell-spawn creatures in an underground parking garage just screaming "I bet someone's gonna die now."

All in all, this was a very enjoyable experience that had me wanting to sit in the theater for another two hours to see it again. The kicker for me as far as creativity, however, had to be the credits. I have never, ever sat through the credits of any movie, EVER. An absolutely genious move was to continue the story while the credits role. I wont give it away, but it was fantastic.

Guys, go with your roommate, your fraternity brothers, your best buds. I would suggest not taking the girlfriends unless they can handle that kind of gore. And for god-sakes, dont take your little kids...that just pisses me off. This movie was 5 minutes from an NC-17 rating....R does not make it that much more suitable for the young'ins.
So, JUST GO SEE IT!!! You'll be glad you listened to me!

I give it a A-

Why hello...this is MghtyMo. You might first be wondering how I was bestowed such an awe-inspiring nickname. Well, do you want to know.....? Its kinda dumb, but I'll tell you anyway. Back in high school, this guy would announce all our home baseball games. This guy was one of the coolest PE coaches in the world, and his daughter was freakin' hot, so he was coo with me. Anyway, he would always announce, "And now up to bat, the DH, number 32, Mighty Mo, Nathan Moses." It was pretty cool, cuz I was the only guy that had a nickname.......
"So Nathan, why take the 'i' out of 'Mighty'....that's kinda dumb!" Ok, I'll explain. You can fit "MightyMo" on a lincense plate.....so I change it to MghtyMo. My buddy Mike made his "Stare" after his last name, so I wanted to do it too.....

Ok, well, thats all for this test blog. I gotta learn HTML again.....you could do some really cool stuff with this. Talk to you soon.
